DACIA selects COMPREDICT vTPMS for Series Production Vehicles
Software-based vTPMS delivers precise, per-wheel pressure data for affordable vehicles — no additional hardware required.
COMPREDICT, a provider of software-based Virtual Sensors for automotive applications, today announced a series production agreement with DACIA for the deployment of COMPREDICT's Virtual Tire Pressure Monitoring System (vTPMS). The software-based solution delivers accurate tire pressure information and a modern digital customer experience for affordable vehicles.
From Warning to Real Information
Conventional indirect TPMS systems typically provide only a warning when a pressure deviation occurs. COMPREDICT's vTPMS goes beyond conventional indirect TPMS by delivering an absolute tire pressure value for each wheel, allowing drivers to identify which tire is affected and assess the severity of the situation.
In the DACIA deployment, tire pressure information will be available through the DACIA App. This allows customers driving vehicle variants without a dedicated in-vehicle display to access precise tire pressure data directly on their smartphone. The solution is planned to be introduced for selected DACIA vehicles starting in 2026.
Series-Grade, Software-Only Solution
This series production contract demonstrates how Virtual Sensors can unlock new customer value through software. By delivering accurate tire pressure information without additional hardware sensors, OEMs can enable new digital services while keeping vehicle architectures efficient and affordable.
Enabling Digital Services and Customer Interaction
With vTPMS, tire pressure data becomes available not only for driver information but also as a foundation for digital services such as predictive maintenance, customer notifications, and service diagnostics — delivered through existing connected vehicle infrastructure.
The vTPMS leverages existing CAN data — wheel speed, acceleration, and chassis signals — combined with AI-based calibration to estimate absolute tire pressure across all four wheels under diverse driving conditions, without any in-wheel hardware.
Expanding COMPREDICT's Virtual Sensor Portfolio
The series production contract with DACIA further strengthens COMPREDICT's Virtual Sensor portfolio, building on its proven experience delivering series-grade software solutions. Our solutions demonstrate how software-based sensing can deliver immediate customer value and deliver digital vehicle services — without waiting for future vehicle architectures.
